Responsibilities:
Ensures that health and safety statistics are maintained
Planning, conducting and producing reports for non-conformance & incidents, training, meetings and audits for health and safety activities
Conducting regular audits & inspections of the sub-contractors to ensure that all health and safety requirements are being met
Ensures that sub-contractors safety files are kept up to date with relevant and accurate records
Attends health and safety meetings and effectively discusses and deals with relevant issues and items
Able to effectively identify potential health and safety risks and implements the necessary preventative measures
Assist in the development of safety plans for site and to ensure that all site staff and sub-contractors are educated accordingly
Ability to ensure adherence to health and safety requirements for all workers on site
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
SAMTRAC
Registered with or in the process of registration for at least a candidate Health and Safety Officer
with SACPCMP
HIRA
Other related Health & Safety training
Excellent verbal and written communication
Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships
Good client relations
Excellent time management
Deadline driven
