EXECUTIVE HOUSEKEEPER

LOCATION : DURBAN

SALARY :MARKED RELATED

  • Management of Room Attendants and Public Area / General Cleaners
  • Create a departmental working environment focused on staff development
  • Revenue control- responsible for the Housekeeping department’s financial performance
  • Ensures that standards are maintained in the department at all times in relation to service delivery and hygiene requirements
  • Management of laundry service
  • Produce reports on the aspects of the housekeeping department in terms of the company policy and directives issued by the General Manager
  • Daily pre and post shift briefings
  • Check room status reports and reports discrepancies to the Front Office Manager
  • Ensure operating standards of the hotel are achieved
  • Keeps records and maintains filing systems within the housekeeping department
  • Ensures that regular stock takes are scheduled

    Requirements:

  • Minimum of Grade 12
  • extensive housekeeping experience as well as knowledge of Apex is a requirement
  • Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel management will be a distinct advantage
  • must have 2years experience in Executive Housekeeper position
  • must be computer literate with MS Excel & MS Word
  • must be well groomed, well spoken, extremely organized, and punctual
  • good time management skills, people management skills and attention to detail is very important
