FRONT OFFICE MANAGER
SALARY:MARKED RELATED
LOCATION: DURBAN
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure effective and efficient daily operation by Front Office Department
- Responsible for Front Office Department and colleagues
- Ensure that all Front Office Procedures are consistently adhered to by all staff.
- Achieving maximum occupancy.
- Check all Conference main accounts
- Ensure that rates are checked on a daily basis.
- Check daily postings on the Night Audit reports.
- GUEST ledger balances report to be monitored daily.
- To ensure that all Direct Bills are 100% accurate before being transferred to Accounts payable
- To ensure that the Company’s credit facilities regarding Debtors are being adhered to
- Ensure the Banqueting coordinator at all times liaise with Front Office and Reservations regarding bookings for Groups and Conferences
- Ensure the smooth running of all departments
- Knowledge of Fire Drill and evacuation Policy
- Conduct a daily comprehensive property walk and report back to the General Manager.
- Complete the Duty Manager’s Checklist and follow – up on any problem areas
- Discipline Staff
- Ensure Daily procedures are being adhere to
- Front Office Standards applied
- 2-5 Years Experience in a hotel – Front management post
- Reservations Experience
- Management of staff
